Required ingredients:

  • Beerkaya pottu (ridge gourd)
  • Green chillies
  • Coriander seeds
  • Cumin seeds 
  • Garlic cloves
  • Soaked tamarind
  • Sesame (nuvulu)
  • Chana dhal (senaga papu)
  • Red chillies
  • Talimpu seeds
  • Curry leaves
  • Salt
  • Turmeric powder
  • Oil
  • Asafoetida (inguva)

Preparation process:

  • Lit the stove and place a pan on it now add the sesame seeds and fry them and transfer them into a plate then add coriander seeds and cumin seeds to the pan and fry them gently and transfer them into a plate
  • Now add little amount of oil to the pan and add garlic cloves and green chillies and mix them for few minutes and then transfer them into the plate then again add some amount of oil and add the ridge gourd peel to the pan and mix it well
  • Now take a grinder and add fried sesame seeds fried garlic cloves and green chillies and fried coriander and cumin seeds and finally add the fried ridge gourd peel and grind them into a smooth paste
  • Now place a pan on the stove and add oil to it then add talimpu seeds, Chana dhal, curry leaves, red chillies and mix well then add a small amount of Asafoetida, turmeric powder and mix once now add the grinded paste to the pan and mix well then add required amount of salt and mix well and now turn of the stove transfer into a bowl and garish with curry leaves and serve hot !!
